Quaking Aspen Bark Fungus

Anonymous added on May 26, 2012 | Answered

Our quaking aspens have developed a coated fungus looking stuff on the bark, then they get the branch completely full of this. It is a grey looking matter, then the leaves die and they fall off. It has spread to the other aspens around it. Is there any treatment for this, or do they need to be cut down?
