Q.Pruning Sweet Cherry Trees
I have a sweet cherry tree in the ground approx 5 years old., it produced fruit for the first time this year. The tree is not sprouting branches from ground level. Do i cut these off or cut the main trunk of the tree.

I think you meant the tree is "now sprouting branches from ground level."
If so, yes, those are suckers and should be removed. They are coming from the rootstalk below the graft.
