Pruning Blueberry Bushes

Question

I recently bought a house with several blueberry bushes that are at least 8 ft. tall. They are so tall, in fact, that I would like to cut them back but not sure if I can. I live in Ga. and the winter is coming. What should I do to these plants so as not to have them die? We really love the blueberries they have.
