Pruning a Gardenia

Anonymous added on January 27, 2014 | Answered

My gardenia is indoors during the winter and it is getting rather large. Can I prune it? If so, please give me some tips on how to do it successfully.

Cutting back by no more than 1/3 would be ok to do. If you are pruning to prepare it for coming indoors, you can do it right before you bring it in.
