Q.Pruning 4 yr old Apple trees

Anonymous added on September 20, 2018 | Answered

Hello,
Love the site.
Last November I set three apple trees in our garden. I estimate they are about 4 years old. Apart from looking at them I hope to produce lots of apples in the years ahead. Two are sweet apple tres and one is a cooking apple tree. However, I am a novice when it comes to pruning.
Can you please take a look at the pictures I have attached and please advise where is the best place to prune.
Should I cut to make a dominant branch? Or do they look good enough to you. In one of the trees the leaves seem to be at the top of the branches and I feel I should be pruning it so it isn’t so stalky?
I look forward to your advice.
thanks,

Pat.
