Q.Problems With Pole Beans In A Container

Zone Lebanon ,OR. 97355 | Anonymous added on July 14, 2022 | Answered

My plants got exposed to very hot temps 113 for 3 days-but were watered daily during that time. Now temps back to normal 80-90 But the leaves are pale and browning and falling off. I have fertilized but I think it’s too late. What could possibly be wrong?

Fertilization, excessive heat, and excessive watering will lead to what you have experienced, here. Unfortunately, beans are not suited for the heat. They will suffer, no matter what, but can be helped with a little shade.

I think the best course of action will be taking preventative measures for the next available season. This collection of articles will help you with the care of beans:
