Q.Prayer Plant Help

Anonymous added on March 5, 2011 | Answered

My grandma gave me a prayer plant last year. It was in a small container with four other plants.  I transferred it into a 10-inch terra cotta pot with stones on the bottom for drainage. It has two large branches with many huge leaves. They’re about 1 1/2 feet long. The tops are very heavy and the base is very small and weak,  held up by a stick. It’s also growing some weird ‘legs’. They’re very skinny and about 6 inches long, and at the end of each one they gave a green hook that looks like a claw. They’re green, so they’re alive. I’m not so sure what to do.  I looked at other prayer plant pictures and was shocked to see mine looked nothing like them.  I was thinking about cutting some of the branches but am afraid it’ll die.

We can better identify the problem or plant with a picture.
