Q.Potting Scented Geraniums

Zone England | minnie added on August 15, 2015 | Answered

I have been given two lemon scented geraniums which I intend to grow indoors. They need potting on, but there is a lot of stem at the base of the plants, without any leaves. Can I bury part of the stems when I pot them on? Thanks.

Common for Scented Geranium to grow in this pattern.
I would not advise dropping the stem lower into the pot, this can lead to fungus or root rot in the plant.

Pruning is an option and also propagating smaller plants from the mother plant also is common.
