Q.Potatoes and squash wilting

Zone Chino Valley, Az. zone 7 | Woodie added on May 25, 2016 | Answered

My potato plants were doing real well and then all of a sudden the leaves were turning black and dying just over night. Also, my yellow squash and zucchini. What’s going on?
Same with my beans.

Thanks,
Woodie H.

I'm sorry the leaves on your plants are turning black! There are usually a couple of possible reasons for this: overwatering is a common one; if you've been careful about how much water you've been giving your vegetable plants, then it could be disease. There are several types of diseases that cause black leaves listed in this article: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/pepper/black-leaves-on-pepper-plants.htm
