Q.potato leaves turning brown

Anonymous added on June 30, 2015 | Answered

Potatoes planted first of April and growing well. Last few days the leaves are turning brown and drooping down. Why? I am consistent with watering, but daily temperatures have been averaging around 95. Now all plants are affected. Brown leaves started with one plant and now four are affected.

I would assume the heat played a factor initially, but with this seemingly spreading, I am leaning towards a fungal issue, likely Verticillium wilt. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/potato/controlling-wilted-potatoes.htm
