My potatoes have flowers on them. Are they still good or have they gone past their prime?

Yes, your potatoes are still good. If you dig now you will probably find small potatoes, which are delicious as "new" potatoes. If you want larger potatoes, wait until later in the season (but don't wait long after the plant itslef dies) and then dig, because the potatoes will keep growing until then.
