Q.Please Recommend A Variety Of Sunflower That Grows Tall Also A Fertilizer That Helps Grow Height.
Last year I planted a sunflower that grew large leaves and head but not tall. I used some chicken manure tea and wonder if that was the reason. Could over fertilization restrict height and cause plant to grow wide with big leaves and big head? We have a neighborhood sunflower contest each year and my sunflowers are the biggest but not the tallest. Same seed to all participants, I also used compost chicken manure.
