Q.Planting Where Decking Has Been
Hello I am wanting to plant grasses, shrubs and moss where decking has previously been laid. The decking has been there for a number of years. What do I need to do to ensure that the soil is fertile enough for plants to grow and survive please? Many thanks Jo

The very first thing that I would do would be to test soil nutrient levels and pH:

You will want to test drainage, as well:

Testing for disease will be helpful:

Adding compost will be a good way to aerate the soil:
