Q.planting tree roses in pots
In planting tree roses in pots is it recommended to add perlite in aid in compaction of the soil & if so what would be the best ratio?

Adding perlite is a good way to keep the soils from getting compacted. The ratio I like is 25% perlite to 75% soils. Fertilome makes a potting soil that already has the perlite in it and ready to go.
