Q.Planting Red Robin In A 1m Border

I have a 6ft fence and a 1m border in front of the fence and then a path. Would I be able to plant Red Robin in the 1m border to screen the fence. There is a lawn behind the fence and the plants would be south facing with sun most of the day.
