Q.Planting perennials
How to best prepare the soil in spring? I will be planting: Canna bulbs, gladiolus, Echinacea, Coneflowers (already in), Jumbo Marigolds and some Lilies. I also have Hydrangeas and some Hosta in the front of the house. Thank you John
The perennials that you list will need a loamy, well draining soil.
You can start the season with a soil test to determine if you may need to amend the soil.
Your County Extension Office can help you with a soil test for a few dollars.
