Q.Planting live root banana trees

Zone Bedford, Texas 76021 - zone 8 | Fandbgroup added on May 19, 2017 | Answered

I bought 6 bare root banana trees. They were planted in good sun and partial shade. I used root stimulator.
They’ve been in the ground about 4 weeks and I’m not seeing any growth, leaves etc. I’ve peeled back some of the Brown leaves and see the stock is greenish. Do I pull off all the Brown leaves? Must the soul be Always Moist? I’m buying mulch today.
When or how long will it be till I see leaves? Do I need to cut off the Brown tough tops? I’m at a total loss.
