Q.Planting Jade in rocks

Zone 06084 | madamerebecca added on July 26, 2016 | Answered

I have several new Jade plants that I have grown in soil. I wanted to plant them in rocks and water. Can this be done once already started growth in soil or do I need to restart new plants in the rocks and water?

You might get best results by rooting new plants in water first, but I've started dozens of new Jade plants in all types of soil and found them to be pretty resilient, so you could give it a try and have yourself a fun experiment. I'm not sure the plant will thrive in 100% water, but you could try it with a small cutting.
