Q.Planting Cantaloupe Seeds From Melon To Soil?
Hello all, do the same rules apply to saving the seeds to plant later? (briefly) placing the seeds in a jar of water saving the ones at the bottom for planting I’ll be planting them as soon as I strain them 1 to 3 days later? or can I continue to germinate them and then plant?

Cantaloupe can cross pollinate if you grow more than one variety, so consider this before saving seed. (To prevent cross pollination, varieties need to be planted 1/2 mile apart.) Also, hybrid seeds will not produce plants that are the same as the parent. If your crop had any diseases, these can be carried on or in the seed. Here is more about saving seed:
