Q.Planting a new Madagascar Palm today
I live in Palm Springs and bought a madegasgar palm at a local nursery. As soon as I planted it, the leaves wilted and turned dark. Is that normal? Have not overwatered and will ensure it has enough to start but thought that was odd as it was perfectly fine in the pot. The area will have shade 3/4 of the day and full sun 1/4.
Thanks

Madagascar Palm, though really a succulent is not hardy outdoors in your zone. They need zone 9 or above to be able to be planted outdoors.
You should keep your new plant in a pot or container. You can try repotting it into the container that is came in and make sure the soil is not wet.
