PLANTING A MONKEY PUZZLE TREE SEED

Question

I PURCHASED SOME MONKEY PUZZLE TREE SEEDS AND I DO NOT KNOW IF I PLANT THE WHOLE THING OR IS THERE A SEED INSIDE OF WHAT APPEARS TO BE A POD OR SHELL.

You can plant the whole thing. The seeds resemble nuts. Soak them in water two days before planting in a container of sand. Place in the refrigerator to chill for about 2 weeks to break dormancy. Then plant in a perlite/compost mixture and place near a sunny window. Keep the soil moist. Seedlings should appear in 10 to 30 days.
