Q.Placement of a veggie garden

Anonymous added on June 17, 2015 | Answered

My wife and I want to put in a permanent vegetable garden. However, we are not in agreement of where to put it. I want to put a raised garden next to the garage which is facing south in full sun. However, my wife is telling me that a garden cannot be placed against the side of the garage… or a house in general. Does anyone know why a vegetable garden should not be placed directly against a house?

Honestly, I see no reason why you can't put a veggie garden near the house or other structure, provided it receives adequate growing conditions. A raised bed is a good idea, as it keep the soil loose and can be structured to fit your needs.
