Pink Muhly Grass

Question

I absolutely love Pink Muhly Grass and am thinking of planting it around our above ground pool; however, I have been told that it only turns pink from Sept. to Dec. Is that true and, if so, what does it look like during the summer months?

Prior to blooming and after flowering the ornamental grass is a lovely green graceful grass.
