Q.Pinching out

Zone Burton upon Trent, UK. | stan the man added on May 14, 2018 | Answered

I asked earlier about pinching out Argyranthemums and was asked to supply a photo. I`m afraid I can`t do that. I asked because I purchased a dozen plug plants which are at the moment still in the “potting on” stage due to UK climate. They are approximately 4″ tall and I would like to know what pinching out is advisable to produce the height and spread described on various web sites.
Regards……….stan the man.

Trimming off dead flowers after they fade helps keep argyranthemum looking its best and producing more flowers.
When the plants are producing lots of vegetative growth, it is worth tip pruning to produce a more compact, bushy plant.
