Q.Perennial Rye Grass
I live in North Florida, hot summers cool winters. I spread 150lbs annual rye seed in fall, it burns off in late spring. Can I spread perrinial rye in the same manner in the fall? Soil is very sandy, but grass is well established. I fertilize 150 lbs 15x15x15 three times a year. This so I will have a green lawn year round. Thank you for you assistance.

You can use an improved/perennial rye but it likely will still die out as temperatures rise. Here is more:
