Q.periwinkle weed control
How do I control the weeds around the periwinkle without harming the periwinkle itself? I have a lot of sun in some areas. When I plant new periwinkle plants, it doesn’t take-off and expand.
You have a few different options: you can hand pull the weeds out of the ground by the roots, lay mulch around the periwinkle to discourage weeds, paint the foliage of weed plants with a glyphosate herbicide or apply a pre-emergent herbicide to the periwinkle bed.
