t but the fruit skin was brown with some blush but most similar to bradford ornamental pear seeds. The flesh was woody even after 3 to 4 days after picking. I have 4 Bradford pears withing 50 yards and a bartlett within a 100 yards they all bloom at the same time. Is the brown woody fruit from pollenating with the ornamental pears? there is no disease on the tree I am wondering if I should give up or graft bartlett branches into the trunk the shape of the fruit is similar to bartlett but is did develop blush similar to a elberta peach on the sunny side,

Unfortunately, your photos did not come through.

It is very likely that your pears are cross pollinating, but this would not cause any change to the fruit. You would only be able to tell by growing the seeds from the pollinated fruit and comparing that generations fruit back to the parents. So this will not be the reason for the lack of proper fruiting.

Usually, this can be due to lack of nutrition in the soil- Namely, a lack of phosphorus and potassium, and too much nitrogen. It can be caused by disease, also.

There is a chance that the tree could have been mislabeled from the nursery. This does happen from time to time.
