Q.Pear tree

Zone Apopka, Fl 32712 | Michie104 added on May 4, 2016 | Answered

Bought a home and the previous owners planted 4 fruit trees…one of which is a pear tree. But it looks like a stick with only two green leaves sprouting from 6″ from the ground. What should I do?

It sounds like they may have planted a bare root specimen or perhaps they started it from seed.

If you have the patience you certainly can take care of your tiny tree and watch it grow.

Here is a link with more information on growing Pear Trees.

Keep in mind that eventually for your Pear Tree to bear fruit, they need another tree nearby as a pollinator.
