Q.Peanuts

Zone Pocomoke Maryland | midastouch63 added on October 24, 2017 | Answered

We live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and we are very excited that our first Peanut plant has done well and produced. However before I harvest them I have a question. I understand how to dig them out and dry them but how do you get the dirt off of them? Should I wash after drying?

Thank You for your time

You should only have to brush off the dirt, as the shell will be peeled off and thrown away. The dirt will promote natural curing.
