Q.Palm Trees

Good afternoon. I was hoping to get some insight on Palm trees. I’m new to gardening. Trying to absorb everything about gardening. I bought a house several months ago. The front yard has Palm trees that are beautiful! Just afraid they may grow to tall, especially being so close to the house. I was wondering how tall will they grow to? I’m hoping not tall since they create some nice shade for my other plants. Thanks Paul

Most species do grow quite tall with some of them remaining on the shorter side, depending on the cultivar. Some of them won't shed as bad, but yours looks like it may be true to the typical fan palm. I would assume that they will get a little on the taller side, but you can get a better answer from your local extension service. They may be able to help test and find out its specific cultivar to tell you more. Otherwise, this article will help with the care of these palms:
