Q.Over-wintering Ivy Geraniums In South Idaho (leaving Them In The Pot)

Zone 83651 zone 6b | Anonymous added on August 21, 2021 | Answered

I just read your article on growing. Mine is huge and I want to keep it for next year. Can I trim it back, put in shed and cover for the winter? I’m in Nampa and our winters are not too horrible. I’ve read other articles on over-wintering and I don’t want to unpot, etc. Your thoughts?

This plant is, strictly, tropical. It will not have a true dormancy. You will want to bring it indoors and continue growing it as a houseplant.
