Q.Outdoor Gardenia

Anonymous added on April 8, 2011 | Answered

I live in Westchester County NY and the winters are cold. Do I have to remove the gardenia plant and bring it indoors in the winter? Also, if I keep it indoors, the room I have is light and gets some sun; is that Ok?

Yes, it does need to come in during cold weather. You can try that room and if you see signs that it is not getting enough light, you can supplement with a fluorescent lamp.
