Q.Outdoor ferns

Zone Sisters OR 97759 | Ron Landers added on June 14, 2017 | Answered

I live in rural central Oregon and have deer and rabbits in my yard frequently. I am wondering if the deer like ferns to eat. They seem to like most everything in my yard.

Thanks,
Kay Landers

Deer usually don't like to eat ferns but if food or water is scarce, they will eat what is available. You can deter from your ornamentals by providing sacrificial plants for them to eat or using repellents.
