Q.Our 10 Year Old Crepe Myrtles Had Buds, But Now Look Dead. Why Is That?
These are 10 year old Natchez crepe myrtles. They were not pruned this year. They had buds before a late frost (not a hard freeze) and now nothing has bloomed or grown. There is no new growth. Can something be done to help them?

Crape myrtles don't usually bloom till summer so I'm surprised they had buds already. You might want to take an up-close look at the tree to see if there is a problem with the bark, leaves and stems. These articles should help:
