Q.Orchid tree

Zone Dallas, Tx | Yvonnepwll added on June 4, 2017 | Answered

I was given seeds for an orchid tree in December from a lady in Galveston Tx. A seaside town in south Texas. I live in the Dallas Tx. Area. After planting the seeds the next spring The little round flat seeds began to grow. Yippee. I planted them in a large planter on the patio. It gets sun for about 6 hrs. Planted in good rich potting soil. It has been 5 years and no blooms yet. Although it has nice green leaves there is no sign of buds.
Is it possible that I am missing a key element or maybe I live too far from the coast.
I am so wanting flowers. Any suggestions?

This fast growing tree should be blooming.
Check the growing conditions with the articles below.
Increased sunlight and a bit more water could help your tree.
