I need to transfer an Olive Tree from a metal planter. How do I get it out of the metal planter safely with no damage?

Thank you

Try carefully running a knife around the edge of the root ball between the soil and the pot. Then, carefully lay the plant and pot on its side, on the lawn, driveway or over a tarp. Wiggle the planter around until you can pull it away from the root ball. You may need a friend to gently pull on the trunk (or the roots if they can reach any) while you do this. In some cases you may have to damage the roots a bit to get the plant free.
