Hi, i have a lot of ivy growing at the bottom of my garden which has berries on and I think they are poisnous.
The back end of my garden leads to a railway embankment.
My question being is that is this ivy illegal in the UK and am I responsible for removing it.
Many thanks Gary.

It may be the native mature form of the common ivy (Hedera helix) but I would get a definitive ID from a local authority. It is a native ivy prized by wildlife and common in the UK.
