Q.Not Pruning a Butterfly Bush

Anonymous added on March 5, 2011 | Answered

I was just curious what would happen if I did not prune my butterfly bushes. They are pretty big now and I hate, every year, to have all that cut brush, branches, etc.that I have to deal with.

Nothing bad happens if you do not prune them. They just get bigger, really. Many people prune to keep them smaller and in a more "formal" shape, but if you do not prune, they simply get bigger and have a more wild shape.
