Q.newly planted peach tree

Anonymous added on June 16, 2015 | Answered

I just planted my very first peach tree and my very first plum tree. They both are approximately 4 feet tall. How old should I consider the tree’s to be? How far up from the ground should my first branches be?

They sound like they are 2-3 years old. It would really depend on how they were propagated. How far up from the ground the branches should be is really more of a personal choice. Lower branches are easier to harvest but does put them in reach of animals like deer.
