Mysterious Orange Ball Shaped Growths in My Bluebonnet Patch

I found odd an looking orange, ball-shaped growth spread out in a largish patch in my bluebonnet patch this morning. What could this be and should I remove it? pictures attached.

These orange balls are the reproductive stage of slime mold.
