yucca gets black spots

Question

My yucca gets black spots at the end of the winter to beginning of spring. When the summer is over, it looks beautiful but today I am peeling all the spotted and dried leaves off. Now it is looking bare. All of my yuccas get like this and they are in different areas of the yard. How do I stop this from happening? Do I need to wrap them in burlap before our harsh winters?
