do? Can I cut it where the brown and green meet and place it in water? Will it root so I can regrow it or can I bring it back to life how it is?

Yes. Cut it above the brown part so you don't get any of the brown in it. Root it in water or directly in potting soil.

It may have root rot, so you can repot the bottom in fresh potting soil after removing brown leaves and stems.
