Q.My Son Has A Maple Tree Of Which I Noticed The Leaves In A Small Section Looked Like They Were Being Eaten
On our maple tree there were two small sections which looked like the leaves were being eaten. We were able to cut the branch off and do not see any other signs of destruction now. Is there something I should be aware of for the future to stay on top of this problem as I expect it will happen again. I’m attaching several photos for your review. Thank you very much Patti Scarduzio

This appears to be spider mite damage. Though the Winter temperatures will kill them off, they will likely contract an infection from the damage. I would treat for spider mites, AND treat with a fungicide to control these residual effects.
