Q.My Roses Have A Bad Case Of Black Spot. Will They Survive?

Most leaves have fallen off and I’ve cleaned the infected leaves away. These are 20 year old, easy care roses that have never been infected before. The month of June was very rainy here in southern New England.

They should survive. Often, black spot will defoliate the plant, but it returns. You did the right thing in removing the leaves; be sure they go into the trash. Here is more:
