Q.My Mandevilla Has Lost All Its Leaves…
I bought 2 Mandevilla from Walmart, that did good for about a month then started dropping leaves like crazy. Now all the leaves are gone and the vines that were growing have all turned brown and started to shrivel. The plants almost look dead but now there are new leaves/shoots starting to grow towards the bottom of the plants. Can I save them? What could’ve went wrong? I’ve kept them in pots indoors since I got them. It is chilly in the house with the air conditioner in the summer and I keep them in the window for sunlight. I did have an issue with fungus gnats but I’ve almost completely gotten rid of them. I used neem oil and some organic stuff from the store. Finally I put sand in the tops of the pots and used fly strips. That has worked.
Also, I did cut back some of the dead branches and vines but it was only about 12-24 inches before it started dying.
