Q.Magnolia had a bad time over summer

Anonymous added on July 13, 2015 | Answered

My small Magnolia stellata had a bad time over summer and I thought it was dead. It now seems to have just a few tiny green buds on it. Is it worth preserving or should I give up on it and put in a new plant?

This article should help determine if the plant is still alive or not, but the fact that there are green buds on it tells me it still has some life in it. I would cut back any dead growth and give it some fertilizer. Nothing to lose.
