my knockout roses are growing very spindly

My roses do not get bushy. They only shoot out single branches.

Only some roses are bushy. Tea roses for example grows on single stems. Too much shade/water may make it grow spindly. Suggestion, relocate to a sunny spot if in a shady area and make sure the soil promotes good drainage.
