Q.My hydrangeas look bad not sure what to do

My hydrangeas look bad not sure what to do. Planted in June and they looked fine, and in last week look like photo.

Looks like you've got some rot going on in part of the plant. Reasons could be too much heat and moisture. Things you could do would be to cut off the browned and wilted parts, cut back on watering if you've been adding moisture, work in some sand and/or compost around the plant if water is coming mostly from rain, if the plant is getting quite a bit of sun, you might think about transplanting it to a more shaded spot in the fall.
