Q.Hibiscus Leaves

Zone 6 | ava123 added on May 26, 2012 | Answered

My hibiscus is losing its leaves. They are turning yellow and fallling off. I am watering it, as I was told it does need it in all day direct sun.

Yellow leaves usually mean too much water, but conversely can also mean not enough. Try cutting back on the watering (only when top 3-4 inches are dry), and give it a chance to recover. For additional reasons this can happen, here's an article that can help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/answers-to-what-causes-hibiscus-leaves-turning-yellow.htm
