Hellebore Plants

Q.My hellebore plants have had green flowers for months. Why don’t they change colors?

Hi,

I live in CT. I purchased several hellebores plants last year. They had beautiful flowers. When they sprouted this spring, green flowers eventually appeared and have stayed green for several months. Why don’t they look like the ones I purchased.

I’ve attached two photos…what they looked like when I bought them…what they look like today.

You may need to replace your plant with a different strain that will keep its colored blooms. Here's an article about hellebores:
